In September of 2005, the TOEFL changed from the CBT (Computer-Based TOEFL) to the iBT (internet Based TOEFL). The iBT, introduced to Greece in August of 2006, allows students to use language skills in an integrated way, thus making it more authentic to real university situations. The iBT tests the following language skills:

Scoring ranges from 0-30 points for each section, but test time varies from section to section. Exams are offered once a week and scores are available 15 days after the test date.

TOEFL classes at Siountri School of Foreign Languages are taught by experienced teachers of the English language. There are 8 TOEFL preparation courses offered throughout the academic school year. While individual courses last for 8 weeks, preparation time depends on the level of English of each student. The TOEFL is approximately the same level as the Proficiency. Therefore, while Proficiency level students may only need to take one preparation course, students who are at a lower level of English may need more.
