By using a systematic and holistic approach in the teaching of the Swedish language, we are able to guarantee our students success in the following Swedish language levels:

First Level

At this level, students receive a basic introduction to the Swedish language and culture, and are exposed to basic grammatical and syntactical structures. Students at this level will learn how to participate in simple, day to day conversations, such as greetings, introductions, wishes, telephone conversations, asking questions and giving directions. Students are also informed about the Swedish educational system.

Level one takes approximately 1-2 years, depending on the ability and motivation of each student. Once this level has been mastered, students can take the SFI exam (Svenska for Invandrare), which is offered at a Swedish school every June and December.

Second Level

At this level, students improve their pronunciation, further expand their vocabulary and familiarize themselves with increasingly complex grammatical and syntactical structures.  The aim of this level is for students to improve communication skills in all areas.  Comprehension and speaking skills are improved and expanded to include more complex subject matters, such as newspaper articles, political debates, academic lectures, etc.  With the successful completion of this level, students will be adequately prepared to sit entrance language exams for all Swedish universities.
