Changes in the Listening Section of the Proficiency Exam of the University of Michigan (ECPE) |

 As of May 2010 changes will be effective in the third part of the ECPE listening section. In this part, candidates are asked to answer 5 questions for every radio report or interview, which are presented in audio format.
Test takers will not only have the opportunity to listen to the questions posed but also to read them in their test booklets.
This section includes a total of 3 short extracts and takes
approximately fifteen minutes to complete. This adaptation has been
implemented in order to keep up with the latest research conducted at
Michigan University’s ESL department.
