Irene is a native English speaker, born and raised in Chicago, United States of America. She is an experienced teacher, working in the American Schools for more than 14 years. She was awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from the University of Illinois at Chicago (1995), a Master of Arts Degree in Teaching and Leadership from Saint Xavier University Chicago (2001) as well as a reading recovery specialist certification from National-Louis University Chicago (1999). Throughout her teaching career, Irene has worked with a variety of English language learners as well as students with reading difficulties, assisting them to reach their full potential. At Siountri School she is instructing a variety of levels, from beginning levels to Adult.
