Is Japanese very difficult?

Although it is true that Japanese is a challenging language, motivated students can indeed become successful users of the language. Through our Japanese courses, dedicated students will be able to communicate effectively in Japanese in a short amount of time.

Are lessons taught by Japanese teachers?

All teachers who teach Japanese at Siountri School of Foreign Languages are Japanese and speak Greek, English and Japanese.

Is knowledge of the English language necessary to participate in Japanese classes?

No. Our Japanese teachers know Greek, so knowledge of the English language is unnecessary.

In the beginning, is greater emphasis put on speaking rather than reading or writing?

Yes. In the beginning, the lessons are focused on speaking. Reading and writing are introduced once students have a solid introductory foundation in speaking.

What are the levels in Japanese?

The first (easiest) level is level 4 while the last (most difficult) level is level 1.

How often are Japanese exams given?

Exams for the Japanese language take place once a year in the beginning of December.
