The TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication) is an
examination that demonstrates English language ability and is
recognized worldwide. The TOEIC exam tests a candidate’s ability to use
English is business and social situations. Holders of the TOEIC are
eligible to apply for jobs in the Greek public sector as this test is
recognized by ASEP.
There is no passing score for this exam. The
TOEIC simply measures English language ability, and scores range from
10 to 990. TOEIC preparation courses are taught by experienced English
teachers and successful economists. The TOEIC exam consists of two
parts:
- Listening
- Reading comprehension
Each
section is scored on a scale of 5 to 495 and lasts 45 minutes. Levels
of English knowledge are determined through the following overall
scores:
- Beginner / Basic Level (405-500)
- Intermediate - Lower Level (505-780)
- Advanced Level (785-900)
- Proficient Level (905-990)
Exams are offered weekly and test results are available a week from the test date.
