Job description

We are seeking to employ a talented English teacher with a minimum of 5+ years’ experience for a part-time role at our center in Cholargos. The successful candidate should be a native or near-native English speaker, with Greek knowledge (B1 level and above) and hold a bachelor’s degree from a reputable University, preferably in English Literature, Arts or Social Sciences and a TEFL qualification. We are looking for a highly energetic, creative team player, who is passionate about education, and interested in an ongoing position at the school. 

Requirements

The ideal candidate must: 

• Hold a BA degree from a reputable university in English Literature, Arts, or Social Sciences. 
• Hold a TEFL qualification (Cambridge CELTA / Trinity CertTESOL) 
• Have a minimum of 5+ years proven teaching experience, preferably with exam classes (FCE/ECCE | CPE/ ECPE levels) 
• Be a self-motivated team player, who is reliable and punctual, and takes pride in their work as an educator.  
• Has basic competence with the MS Office suite and is comfortable teaching via online platforms such as Teams. 

What your typical day will look like 

As an educator at SiountriSchool, you will utilize your skills to: 

• Plan, prepare and deliver differentiated lessons to school-aged children and/or adults. 
• Maintain the learning environment of the classroom and manage relevant resources to deliver high quality learning experience.  
• Assess and report student progress to the Head of English and to parents 
• Manage your personal teacher’s account on the school’s chosen online LMS platform, Classter, including using it to assign homework, schedule tests and record students’ grades and absences. 
• Inform the school administration immediately about any issues relating to your students’ progress, behavior, health or safety. 
• Actively supervise students during breaks. 
• Take part in educational activities and workshops aiming to cultivate and further develop students’ learning experience.  
• Participate in all teachers’ meetings.  

Compensation Package

The compensation package will follow a fixed contract for a full academic year. The salary will depend on a pre-arranged teaching schedule, between 15:00-22:00 daily. Teaching schedule may be extended depending on the School’s needs; in such cases there will be additional financial benefits.

We are seeking to employ an YL English teacher with a minimum of three years experience to teach very young learners (5-6 years old).  The successful candidate should be a native or near-native English speaker, with Greek knowledge (B2 level and above) and hold a Bachelor’s degree from a reputable University, preferably in English Literature, Arts or Social Sciences. YL ELT seminars and knowledge of theatrical play will be considered a plus. The ideal person for the role should be a highly energetic, creative team-player, who is passionate about education, and interested in an ongoing position at the school; someone who has the knowledge to bring to life a lesson full of action & fun, with a more interactive approach, through theater, games, activities, crafts, songs, etc.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should:

• Develop and maintain good rapport with young learners and have excellent classroom management skills
• Plan, organize and lead activities designed to reinforce learning through creative play
• Provide a pleasant and animated lesson along with the right tools and EFL resources for children to use and explore through playful activities, including arts and crafts
• Be able to adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the interests of children’s learning styles.
